Cookie Policy

Effective Date: October 28, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar tools used on eikon.digital, what each one is for, and how you can say no. It works together with our Privacy Policy, which explains the personal information we collect and your rights.

A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. We also use browser storage (localStorage), which works in a similar way but stays in your browser.

The Short Version

  • We ask before we turn on analytics. Google Analytics storage stays off until you click Accept, and Reject keeps it off.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
  • A spam-protection service from Google runs on our pages to keep our forms safe. It is not controlled by the Accept and Reject buttons.

1. Cookies and Storage We Use

Your Cookie Choice (Browser Storage)

When you click Accept or Reject on the cookie notice, we save your choice in your browser’s localStorage under the key eikon_cookie_consent, so we do not ask you again on every page. This is not a cookie and is not transmitted to our servers. It stays until you clear your browser storage. If we change how we use analytics, we may ask for your choice again.

Google Analytics 4 (Only If You Accept)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. The site tells Google that analytics storage is “denied” by default, and it also denies the advertising-related signals (ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization). Analytics storage changes to “granted” only after you click Accept, and a prior Accept is restored from your browser storage on later visits. If you click Reject, or make no choice, analytics storage stays denied. When you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser. The Google script loads on our pages either way, so your browser connects to Google’s servers. Google’s handling of that data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise (Spam Protection)

We use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to protect our contact and consultation forms from spam and automated abuse. Its script loads on our pages after they finish loading, not only on the forms. reCAPTCHA sets a cookie (_GRECAPTCHA) and collects information about your browser and device, which is sent to Google and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. It is required for form integrity and cannot be disabled without removing fraud protection, so it is not controlled by the Accept and Reject buttons. If you would rather not have it, you can email us instead of using our forms.

Vercel Web Analytics

Our hosting provider, Vercel, provides anonymized page-view and performance measurement that is included on our pages. It helps us see how the site performs.

Our Own Visit and Campaign Measurement (First-Party)

A small script on our own site reports page views, scroll depth, time on page, and navigation between pages to our own server, along with any campaign (UTM) tags and email-link identifiers in the link you used to arrive. It helps us see which of our own campaigns bring visitors. This measurement does not set a cookie and is skipped for signed-in users. It is not controlled by the Accept and Reject buttons. See our Privacy Policy for how usage data is handled and how long it is kept.

Sign-In Cookies (Only If You Sign In)

If you sign in to an area of our site, our authentication provider, Supabase, sets cookies that keep you signed in. Their names begin with sb-. Visitors who do not sign in do not receive them.

2. Other Services That Load on Our Pages

  • Google Tag Manager script host: the Google Analytics code is delivered from googletagmanager.com, so loading it means your browser connects to Google.
  • Media delivery: some images and video on our site are delivered through the Bunny content delivery network. Like any host, it can see your IP address when your browser fetches those files.
  • Forms: our contact and consultation forms submit to our own site. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to the information you send.

3. Your Choices

  • On our site: the cookie notice lets you Accept or Reject analytics. Both buttons carry equal weight.
  • Change your mind: clear your browser’s site data for eikon.digital and the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit.
  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking spam protection may stop our forms from working.

4. Changes to This Policy

If we change the tools we use, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change affects analytics, we may ask for your choice again.
